While driving on a fall day, I was amazed at the splendor of God’s creation in the colors of the trees. The backdrop of the green amidst the various colors made the depth of the hues magnificent. As Casey (3) was my only conversationalist until his brother came along three years later, I often struck up conversations in the silent car. I said, “Casey, do you know what the green trees are called? …the ones that are always green. They are for-ever green, even when the rest of the trees change color?”
Without looking up from his coloring in the backseat, he said, “Palm Trees.”
